Allergy season is here, and most people immediately reach for the same quick fixes.

But if you’ve ever dealt with allergies, you know those don’t always solve the root of the problem. Instead of overcomplicating it, I focus on a few simple things that actually make a difference.

First, your environment matters more than you think. If you’re constantly breathing in dust, pollen, and other irritants at home, it’s an uphill battle. This is where a high-quality air purifier can be a game changer. It helps remove those particles from your space so your body isn’t constantly reacting to them.

There are three brands of air filters that I love. They are at different price points but all work very well.

1. JASPR: most expensive option but it is extremely strong and powerful.

2. AirDoctor: these come in a variety of sizes depending on your room size.

3. LEVOIT: this is the most affordable option… it is still amazing!

Second, I like to support my immune system, especially during this time of year. One of my go-tos is Beekeeper’s Naturals. Their propolis sprays, nasal spray, and throat soothing lozenges are super easy to use and something I keep on hand, especially when my throat or sinuses feel off. I always travel with these… they are game changers. Code HWH should work sitewide!

And third, this is a big one: be mindful of what you’re using for relief. A lot of conventional allergy products come with artificial dyes, unnecessary additives, and ingredients you probably don’t want to be taking daily.

Genexa makes an amazing non-drowsy allergy relief decongestant. I also really like Boiron’s homeopathic medicine which is great at providing allergy relief.

There are cleaner options out there that work. Look for products with simpler ingredient lists and avoid things like artificial colors/sweeteners when you can. Small swaps like this add up, especially if you’re using them regularly.

At the end of the day, you don’t need a complicated routine. Clean up your environment, support your body, and be a little more intentional with what you’re using.
